Students learn about the history of fencing, along with rules and etiquette.
Basic fencing fundamentals including: Footwork, target practice, drills, and actual fencing, are all taught in a disciplined environment.
Coach Anna Katkova has been coaching at the Kanza Fencing Club since October 2006. She coached previously at the Olympic Reserve School and later The National School of Physical Education in Kiev, Ukraine. She is highly qualified and has taught many elite athletes.
Classes are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 at the Kanza Fencing Club, 135 East Claflin, Salina
