Each spring, the Corps of Cadets undergoes a rigorous inspection process by an independent inspection team composed of both commissioned and non-commissioned personnel from the U. S. Army. This inspection includes training documentation, cadet records, physical fitness, and Drill and Ceremony. St. John's cadets have consistently scored in the upper tier of all schools inspected year after year. The Corps of Cadets vigorously rehearse and study for their AFI with the clear expectation of being awarded "HONOR SCHOOL WITH DISTINCTION" status. They have continuously maintained this designation throughout the history of the program.
